About Astrobotic Griffin-1

Astrobotic’s Griffin Mission One (Griffin-1) is a lunar lander mission
that will land at the lunar South Pole in 2025. Currently aboard are
payloads from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and Astrobotic.
This GM1 contract was awarded under the NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload
Services (CLPS) initiative.

  • John Thornton, Astrobotic’s founder and CEO

Griffin-1 is carrying a suite of incredible payloads like Astrobotic’s own CubeRover and Astrolab’s FLIP (FLEX Lunar Innovation Platform) rover. We’re pleased to have Nanofiche’s important archive aboard, whichhas the potential to be the long-term data archival solution of choice in terrestrial applications

  • Michael Sorkin - Co-Founder, Barrelhand

The Memory Disc required a medium capable of preserving dense visual data over geological timescales, without reliance on power or electronics. NanoFiche offered the necessary stability, resolution, and passive readability to meet those constraints.

  • Sam Peralta PhD - Founder, The Lunar Codex

We’ve launched fragments of human creativity beyond Earth—not in pixels, but in permanence. NanoFiche has been our trusted medium, a timeless vessel for the Lunar Codex. With GLPH, this archive grows into something greater: a living testament to imagination itself—so that even when memory fades, meaning endures.

  • Samantha Tauber, VNCCII

NanoFiche is nothing short of visionary. It transforms a dream into reality: a time capsule that carries our stories, our spirit, and our legacy into the stars. For future generations and other intelligences who may one day discover it, this capsule offers a glimpse into the heart of what it means to be human.
